Explore Innovation with Trans-Nation Co-Creation

German companies and institutions are at a pivotal juncture. To lead in the future economy, they must foster a sustainable innovation culture, amplify their innovative capabilities, and connect with global innovation drivers.

The Trans-Nation Co-Creation program focuses on accelerating innovation in German companies to help them prepare for an ambiguous future by facilitating:

  • Education – Learn about innovation, entrepreneurship, and futures thinking.
  • Collaboration – Network and co-create with German and Transatlantic drivers of innovation.
  • Research – Take part in, and learn from, research around innovation and innovation methods.

Who Should Join?

You should be interested in learning more about modern innovation, eager to work with others to help apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems, able to participate in the multi-day “ISV” symposium in Palo Alto, and willing to take part in research.

You will become part of a new learning community by actively engaging in sessions and peer-learning, taking part in research and data-collection about different aspects of leadership, and bringing an open mind and flexible attitude towards learning.

What to expect?

  • 3 Workshops (2 In Person, 1 Online)
    • Workshops are designed to share insights from experienced partners, collaborate in cross-sectoral groups, and learn about scientific theory.
  • 3 Co-creation meetings (1 In Person, 2 Online)
    • Co-creation meetings focus on sharing innovative ideas and methods between participants, exchanging knowledge, discussing best practices, and addressing challenges together.
  • 4-day Silicon Valley Symposium
    • A four-day symposium that explores Silicon Valley’s recipe for success in growth and innovation by combining the academic knowledge of Stanford University with the applied knowledge of innovative companies.
  • Take part in a longitudinal study with quantitative and qualitative surveys.

Organizational Information

Costs

  • Participation in all program points, including the events in Sillicon Valley, is free of charge.
  • Participants must personally organize and pay for their own travel expenses within Germany and to the USA, as well as meals within the USA.
  • Travel costs are roughly estimated at:
    • Germany Travel
      3 In Person Visits
       3x (50€ Domestic Travel)
       ~150€
    • Silicon Valley Travel (4 day symposium)
      5 nights hotel + 1 round trip flight + food + transport

Application Process

  • Cohort Size: Each cohort will consist of up to 15 organizations.
  • Representation: Each organization should choose a Main Representative and a Backup Representative if possible to ensure that someone is responsible for communication and able to represent the organization in all sessions. Both representatives can take part in German / online events, but only 1 representative per company can take part in the Silicon Valley Symposium.
  • Scheduling: Due to scheduling, please check in advance if participation of at least one representative is possible on all dates before applying.
  • Selection Criteria: Selection of applicants will be made considering organizational compatibility, willingness to take part in research, and openness towards innovation and community building.
  • Notification: Selected organizations will receive confirmations via email.
